CancerCare Manitoba Fundraiser partnership
Scheduling their regular season games for February 3, Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League Pembina Valley Twisters, South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League Red River Wild and the Morris School Morris Mavericks put their skates to ice for the day long fundraiser. Partnering with the Town of Morris Winter Carnival the fundraiser raised $22008.20.
Nelson Norris was toke home $1062.50 from the 50/50. Coach Seth Cory Morris Mavericks coach made a splash in the dunk-tank. "In spite of all the obstacles, the day was successful, " said Morris Multiplex Facilities Manager Arien Peterson.
